Iran Launches First Microelectronic Cloud
One of the features of this cloud, which has been developed with the support of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund and the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network, is the use of the most up-to-date tools necessary to design and manufacture analog, digital and high frequency integrated chips in various software packages on the best hardware platform available in the country, which provides access to specialists, professors, students and knowledge-based companies nationwide.
Support for applicant knowledge-based companies is provided by the Innovation and Prosperity Fund in the form of specialized grants approved by this fund under the National Microelectronics Plan.
Also, professors and students can use the capacity of microelectronics cloud in the form of allocation grants of the National Microelectronics Plan in the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network.
In a relevant development in September, a knowledge-based company in Iran had also offered a complete portfolio of home-made products needed for data centers’ infrastructure.
“In our knowledge-based company, we work in the field of data center physical infrastructure like racks, cooling systems, passives, monitoring and all data center infrastructure equipment,” Reza Bajelan, a senior expert of the sales engineering unit of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
Asked about the competitive advantages of the knowledge-based company compared to other firms, he said, “We are a manufacturer and 90% of the company's products are domestically produced. We offer a complete portfolio of home-grown products in the field of data center infrastructure.”
“We also provide services like designing, consulting, implementation and supporting projects from the beginning to the final delivery. This is our company's competitive advantage over other competitors,” Bajelan underlined.
