Iran to Produce 100 Millions of Vacutainer Blood Collection Tubes
The production line of vacutainer blood collection tubes was launched by an Iranian knowledge-based company in the city of Khodabandeh in the Zanjan province in the Northwestern part of Iran during a ceremony attended by Dehghani Firouzabadi.
Local Iranian know-how and expertise have been employed in launching the production line, therefore it would be possible to develop the project for the production of other related data-x-items in the field of health.
Now, the country's annual demand for vacutainer blood collection tubes is 100 millions pieces, and after meeting the domestic demand, it would be possible to export the remaining volume. The new production line has the capacity of 30 millions of those tubes in the first step, meaning that it will be able to meet one third of the country's total need.
These products come out at the same quality and efficiency as the famous American and European equivalents, and efforts have been made to preserve the quality in the mass production.
The new production line has the capacity to produce 8 millions tubes per month and 100 millions tubes annually, saving the country $30 million by meeting the domestic needs and preventing imports.
