Iranian Experts Design, Develop System to Collect Drilling Data
“Designing and development of the system to collect the drilling information is now pursued by our knowledge-based company to meet the domestic need for imports,” said Rashid Ma’mouri, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
"Despite problems, fortunately, we were able to build 10 machines in accordance with international standards and delivered them to National Iranian Drilling Company," he added.
“During this period, we also indigenized a number of production logging tools (PLT),” Ma’mouri said.
Elaborating on the drilling mud mapping units and oil well production information-receiving systems, he said, “These systems provide the experts with the information needed for drilling, and they can help experts to make the right decision and carry out the drilling and repair operations of oil and gas wells.”
In a relevant development in June, researchers of another knowledge-based company in Iran also succeeded in meeting the country’s needs to different types of directional drilling machines.
“With more than a decade of continued activity in designing and manufacturing drilling machines and providing infrastructural services, the company is one of the innovative and leading manufacturers in Iran,” said Mohammad Reza Bodaqi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
He described machines for drilling and scooping soil and sand in open pit mines, advanced vertical and horizontal round drilling equipment and advanced rectangular open pit drilling equipment as the knowledge-based products of the company, saying, “These products and equipment are used in mines, transportation line industry and construction projects by miners and contractors.”
“These products do not have a domestic model, and their smaller dimensions, lighter weight, higher power, lower price and easier after-sales service are their main advantages over foreign counterparts,” Bodaqi said.
