Iranian Knowledge-Based Firms Export 40,000 US Dollars Worth of Food-Packaging Machines to India
“Our knowledge-based product is a food product sorting machine with sophisticated technology for better product packaging while maintaining its nutritional values,” said Saeed Fatehi, the managind director of one of the Iranian companies.
He added that the machine is named ‘Teri Sealer’ (Vacuum Seal), whose molds are designed based on the customer's container sample, and it can pack food products in plastic containers with the MAP method and long shelf-life.
“One of the advantages of this product packaging machine is that the packaging process is carried out at the last stage of production of a food item, and considering that the process is related to the final product, it should be done in full compliance with the health standards and less intervention of human at this stage,” Fatehi said.
He underlined that packaging by using this machine increases the shelf-life of food several times, adding that injection of the gas into the container makes the foodstuff last longer without the need for chemical additives and harmful preservatives, and on the other hand, the growth of aerobic and non-aerobic bacteria in the food is controlled too.
Meantime, Seyed Mohammad Javad Mortazavi, the managind director of another Iranian knowledge-based company which has exported its food-packaging products to India, said product weight measurement is another part of food packaging.
“In other words, in the packaging process, a machine is needed to be able to measure the products and accurately measure the required amount of each container; given the increased volume of food industry activity, a machine that can achieve this goal at a higher speed has a greater advantage,” he added.
“The machine we produced enjoys the ability to meet the needs of the food industry with high speed and accuracy,” Mortazavi said.
Food packaging is a packaging system specifically designed for food and represents one of the most important aspects among the processes involved in the food industry, as it provides protection from chemical, biological and physical alterations.
The main goal of food packaging is to provide a practical means of protecting and delivering food goods at a reasonable cost while meeting the needs and expectations of both consumers and industries.
Additionally, current trends like sustainability, environmental impact reduction, and shelf-life extension have gradually become among the most important aspects in designing a packaging system.
