Iranian School Student Produces Strong Concrete with Graphene, Glass Fiber
“I have produced a concrete which is stronger than other types of concretes and I used butane graphenes and glass fiber which make the concrete stronger,” Sina, the producer of the concrete who studies at Sama school, told ANA on the sidelines of the IRANANO 2022 exhibition in Tehran.
Asked about his opinion about the exhibition, he said that the presented projects were great and the companies presented very high-quality products, adding that it is a good opportunity for people who are interested in nanotechnology or work in this field.
The 13th Nanotechnology Festival and Exhibition (IRANANO 2022) was held in Tehran on October 1-4 with participation of over 280 knowledge-based companies active in the field of nanotechnology which had presented more than 1,200 products in different areas.
Iran’s nanotechnology has obtained a fourth place in the world led by knowledge-based companies and the Nanotechnology Innovation Council. The council is an entity under the supervision of the presidential office.
Currently, nanotech products are developed in 15 industrial fields based on domestic capabilities and have made their way to the international markets.
During the past Iranian calendar year (March 2021-March 2022), Iran gained 115 billion rials (about $370,000) from nano-products sales.
Among nano-products developed in Iran, 42 percent are related to construction, 17 percent to petroleum and related products, 13 percent to automaking, and 10 percent to optoelectronics.
Saeed Sarkar, an official with the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, said 725 kinds of nanotechnology products are being manufactured in the country which have been exported to the global markets.
The official went on to say that China, India, Indonesia, Syria, Turkey, and Iraq import Iranian nanotechnology products and equipment.
