‘Taravat Ofogh Zendegi’ company has produced the antibacterial cotton fabric by which a broad spectrum of baby clothes and bed sheets can be produced.

The textile benefits from a soft and light tissue, does not cause allergic reactions in babies, and is easy to wash.

The exploitation of nanoparticles in the structure of the cotton fabrics has increased the antibacterial activity and prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi.

The product can be used in making antibacterial hug care clothes, antibacterial feeding pillows, antibacterial baby clothes and antibacterial breastfeeding clothing.

Iran currently ranks 4th in the world in production of nano-science. This comes as a part of Iran's Nanotechnology Initiative Council’s first development plan, which has sought to advance nano-science in the country.

The antibacterial clothing produced by a knowledge-based nanotechnology company in Iran earlier this year can display the infant’s body temperature in case of fever through color change.

The special clothing produced in the company changes color slowly when the infant's body temperature rises above 37 degrees Celsius, and turns completely white when the temperature rises above 38 degrees Celsius, according to Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council.

After treating the child and elimination of the risk, the color of clothes changes to the original state which shows to the parents that the infant's condition has returned to normal.

The thermochromic technology used in this product has been developed by using the safest raw materials which has been completely fixed on the textile with the efforts of the research and development (R&D) group of the knowledge-based company.
