‘Rad Yavaran Soroush’ company has manufactured the product which is a low-cost manhole cover made of nanoparticle-reinforced concrete with special features like high corrosion and moisture resistance and lightness.

The application of nanoparticles in the concrete has led to higher physiomechanical properties, like density, wear, and compressive strength, improved resistance to moisture and corrosion and prolonged service lifetime.

The new manhole lid can be used to cover waterways along roadsides and sidewalks.

Earlier this year, an Iranian nanotechnology company had also succeeded in manufacturing unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) profile for building doors and windows.

‘Shahin Sazeh Fajr’ company’s product has been modified by certain nanoparticles. Such an improvement has dedicated a broad spectrum of significant features to the UPVC matrix such as satisfactory impact strength, high fracture toughness, and favorable stiffness.

The impact resistance and compressive strength of UPVC parts have been enhanced through the incorporation of certain nanoparticles up to 3 and 12 times higher than that of standardized counterparts, respectively.

The product can be used as a building material, specially double-glazed door, frame and window profiles, an insulator in cabling, dentistry and piping industry.
