Iranian Researchers Make Small Separator Device for Agricultural Products
“The products of this company are made to separate and clean the agricultural products,” Reza Fat'hollahzadeh, the manager of the knowledge-based company active in manufacturing agricultural machinery, told ANA.
“Every year, a large amount of agricultural products are lost for not being cleaned on time, but these machines, in addition to creating jobs, make agricultural products clean and prepare them for presentation to the market,” he added.
"In underprivileged areas like South Khorassan province (in Eastern Iran), there are various workshops for cleaning barberry and other agricultural products, and now 30 machines produced by our company have been stationed in the province. Our company has even the capacity of manufacturing 400 machines," Fat'hollahzadeh said.
“Our company has made half-channel devices to be stationed at home and it works with single-phase electricity. It has a silent compressor that can be used in a house or a room,” he added.
South Khorassan barberry fruits are red and seedless. Also, Iranian barberry is one of the main edible varieties of Berberis Vulgaris.
You can find both Puffy and Anari varieties of Iranian barberries in South Khorassan province. In fact, Khorassan is the main center and the source of more than %95 of the red-seedless edible barberry in the world.
South Khorassan barberry has two general categories of edible barberry and ornamental or hawthorn barberry. Edible barberries in Iran have also two categories; red barberry and black barberry.
Black barberry grows in the highlands without human intervention. But red barberry is a product of the orchards of South Khorassan province and is available in different markets.
