Nano-Based Radiator Coolant, Engine Oil Produced in Iran
A knowledge-based company in Iran produced and commercialized ethylene glycol-based engine coolant for light vehicles which has better performance than common coolants in the market due to the presence of nanoparticles.
Decreasing the depreciation of the cooling system, reducing the frequency of turning on the car’s fan, preventing the car from overheating, increasing the resistance of the cooling system against corrosion, decreasing the temperature of the amp when using the air conditioning system, increasing the life of the cylinder head gasket, improving the efficiency of the car engine, preventing the formation of deposits in the car radiator and the significant reduction in car fuel consumption are among the advantages of this product.
Also, another Iranian knowledge-based firm produced various radiators reinforced with nanotechnology which can be used for all types of cars.
Meantime, two Iranian knowledge-based companies which have received a nanoscale certificate for production of nano-based engine oil have made engine oil for Kia, Rio, Peugeot 206 and Ario cars.
The presence of nanoparticles in the engine oil increases the lifespan of both the oil and engine. These nanoparticles are able to fill the pores in the engine system, and as a result, lubrication is done with better efficiency. Improved lubrication leads to faster and more efficient heat removal from the vehicle.
In a relevant development earlier this year, technologists at an Iranian knowledge-based company succeeded in manufacturing antifreeze products that can prevent pollution and increase life of the car engine.
Mohammad Abdollahzadeh, the managing director of the knowledge-based ‘Mehregan Teb Tajhiz Aria’ company stationed at the incubator center of Islamic Azad University’s Roudehen branch, described organic antifreeze solution, radiator water, car windshield washer and cooling oil (organic soapy water and mineral soapy water) as the major products of his company, and told ANA, “We have also produced deionized water which is called ‘Extrapure’.”
“We also enjoy the capability to produce distilled water (water for injection) which is at a low level in terms of bacteria, colonies (bacterial colony), heterotrophs and biology and is disinfected with the UV and its electrical conductivity (EC) is below 0.5,” he added.
“We have also managed to produce glass cleaners based on nanotechnology that easily cleans car windows from any pollution, and then we succeeded in making radiator water that contains 2.5% antifreeze,” Abdollahzadeh said.
“We also produced a more advanced product called organic antifreeze. The lifespan of the organic antifreeze is more than three years, and the useful life of this product has increased to five years. The corrosion of the organic antifreeze is minimized compared to mineral and synthetic antifreezes, and it causes no corrosion in the engine body, cylinder head, and gearbox, and can compete with imported antifreezes,” he stressed.
“Also, oil-based cooling products are made in our company like cooling oils or soapy water which can be used in the lathe industry, parts manufacturing industry, and automotive, steel and cold rolling industries,” Abdollahzadeh said.
