Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Produces New Animal Supplements

TEHRAN (ANA)- A group of technologists at an Iranian knowledge-based company have offered a new way for a better absorption of food supplements in ruminants' bodies.

Simin Khorsandi, the managing director of an Iranian knowledge-based company said that their company produced animal supplements and animal food using local know-how , a report by the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology said.

“Our new product is called Kondrahesh Edible Bullace, which is a new edition of animal supplements,” she said.

Khorsandi added that their company employed the best specialists in the fields of animal science and veterinary medicine and conducted extensive agricultural research to achieve the know-how of better absorbing and digesting of the components of edible bullace.

“This supplement is formulated in a way that the nutrients that the animal needs are placed inside these bullaces, and after the animal takes them, these substances reach the animal's body slowly and without the need to take them every day,” she added.

Stressing that the use of edible bullace helps the ruminants to receive the dietary supplements better, Khorsandi continued, “This animal supplement is produced in a way that they release their components in the digestive tube during a certain schedule.”

The managing director of the knowledge-based company went on to say that their product has a foreign equivalent, but she underlined, “lower price, having the same quality equal to the foreign-made product, better compatibility of the product with the animals in the country, and offering face-to-face and non-face-to-face consultations and training on working with the devices that are needed for feeding animal drug make the domestically produced supplement superior as compared to the foreign equivalent.”

With regard to the share of their company in creating job opportunities inside the country, Khorsandi said, "Currently, 10 people are working directly with the company but many more jobs have been created indirectly for the young people in the country."

The researcher said that the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy has assisted the knowledge-based and creative company to flourish, adding, “The facilities considered for knowledge-based, technological and creative units have been very effective in the growth of these units. and we hope that in the future we will receive more support and facilities from the vice presidency.”
