Iranian Gov’t Signs Agreement with Technologists for 36 First-Time Production Projects
Reza Soltanizadeh told reporters on the sidelines of the 27th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, that “we have tried to plan for creation of market and use capacities of the knowledge-based companies since January”.
He stated that based on assessments, the first priority is the oil sector, adding, “Over 700 to 800 knowledge-based companies have been activated in the field of oil industry.”
Soltanizaded announced implementation of 140 oil projects within the framework of agreements between the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and oil companies, and said, “Also, 36 first-time production projects have been defined in 5 agreements.”
He stated that the main problem of these companies is their small size and their lack of involvement in large projects, and added, “To resolve this challenge, in the first step, we involved the government bodies related to the oil sector, and in the next step, we signed a general agreement with them in which 7 types of bottleneck equipment of the oil industry are supposed to be produced by the knowledge-based companies.”
The 27th edition of the Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition dubbed “Iran Oil Show” was inaugurated in Tehran on May 17 with the participation of Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and Oil Minister Javad Owji.
Some 1,500 domestic companies showcased their latest achievements in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
200 foreign companies from 13 countries, namely Russia, China, Belarus, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, India, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and Turkey, also attended the expo, displaying their latest achievements.
