Venezuela to Assemble 4 Iranian Cars, Import Iran-Made Hemodialysis Equipment

TEHRAN (ANA)- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that his country will assemble four models of Iranian cars, adding that hemodialysis equipment will also be imported from Iran in the near future.

The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen news channel reported that the Iran-Venezuela Industrial Scientific and Technological Expofair is another turning point in the two countries’ relations as Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that his country will assemble four models of Iranian cars.

“These are vehicles that will allow economic savings for the people; vehicles with consumption of 7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers and they will be sold between $12,000 and $16,000 dollars,” he added.

Based on a report by the Europa Press news agency, Venezuela’s Veniranuto company will assemble the four models of Iranian vehicles.

Maduro also said that “medical equipment for hemodialysis developed with 100% Iranian technology will be imported to Venezuela in the coming months”.

Earlier this month, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi said Tehran is resolved to enhance cooperation with Latin American countries as a main part of its policy.

During a meeting with Venezuelan President’s Special Envoy Ramon Velasquez in Tehran, President Rayeesi stated Tehran-Caracas ties are rapidly expanding, adding that Iran has been “a friend of Venezuela’s in its tough times".

He referred to Iran’s policy of developing trade and economic ties with friendly countries, and underscored the significance of enhancing the level of cooperation between Iran and Latin American states, specially given the diverse capacities available. 

“We are ready to expand relations with Venezuela in all areas, specially in trade, energy, technology, science and defense,” Rayeesi underlined.
