Shiraz's Schools to Host Islamic Azad University's New Research Project

TEHRAN (ANA)- The Islamic Azad University of Shiraz, based on an agreement, will implement a newly-approved research project in 10 selected schools in Shiriz, the capital city of Fars Province in Southern Iran.

"On the sidelines of Asreh Omid Event which was held in Tehran's Mosalla in the last days of May, the Islamic Azad University of Shiraz and the General Department of Schools Renovation in Fars Province inked an agreement based on which 10 schools in Shiraz will go under a research project", Hadi Kashmiri, the executive manager of the project, told ANA.  

Kashmiri further said that the project which is aimed at identifying and studying local patterns of managing schools in the province titled "the Green Schools" will be implemented by civil engineering and architecture group of the Islamic Azad University of Shiraz.

"The project will concentrate on training and giving educational guidance to students. In this way, the ground will be paved for establishment of the abovementioned Green Schools based on successful managing of durable education," he went on to say.

Kashmiri who is also a member of the scientific board of the IAU in Shiraz branch said that the project will be implemented in 8 normal and 2 special schools, adding that the project will make a hefty amount of income for the IAU.

Kashmiri underlined that due to high capabilities of the IAU's professors and members of the scientific board, the project will be in accordance of relevant standards of durable education and current situation of schools in Shiraz to ultimately become enough able to materialize the valuable objective of "the Green Schools".

It should be mentioned that the Islamic Azad University's "second step of revolution" under the title of Asreh Omid Event was held in Tehran's Mosalla from May 29 to June 01, 2022 to exhibit new achievements, equipments and products in the technological and innovation arenas in line with opening new windows towards strengthening the idea of creating ground for knowledge-based businesses at the 40th anniversary of establishment of the Islamic Azad University.

Asreh Omid Event gathered one thousand research and infrastructural groups and centers nationwide, one thousand new ideas and startups and also one thousand technological companies.

The Islamic Azad University as a private university system headquartered in Tehran is one of the largest comprehensive systems of universities, colleges, and community colleges in the world. The IAU which is the world's sixth-largest university was approved and ratified by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in 1982.
