Iranian Nanocoatings Protect and Restore Building Materials
Behnam Khazaei, sales manager at the nanotechnology company, said the company manufactures a range of protective nanocoatings and specialized building cleaners designed for different construction materials, including stone, brick, wood and glass. The products aim to protect these surfaces against environmental factors and support their restoration.
The company's product portfolio includes building cleaners, stone yellowing removers, restorative primers and various protective coatings. By forming a protective layer, these coatings help shield building surfaces from moisture, rainwater, acid rain and solar radiation. Some products are also designed to enhance gloss and improve the appearance of stone and brick surfaces.
Khazaei noted that the company has more than 10 years of experience in the field. Its products have been used in various projects across Iran, including a recent project at the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Governorate building in Shahrekord.
He explained that the company's business model is primarily business-to-business (B2B), with its representatives working with organizations, construction firms and major developers across the country. A significant share of its activities focuses on large-scale construction projects.
Discussing the applications of the company's building nanocoatings, Khazaei said the products are used in interior decoration, residential, office and commercial buildings, as well as on exterior facades.
In major cities, building surfaces are exposed to environmental pollutants and acid rain, which can gradually cause stone and brick to deteriorate and lose their original appearance. Protective coatings can help reduce this damage and extend the service life of these materials.
In addition to protective products, the company has developed formulations to restore stone, brick and wood surfaces damaged by pollution and environmental exposure. The wood products can be applied to both untreated and painted surfaces.
