Iran, Austria to Hold Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship in 6 Areas

TEHRAN (ANA)- Iran and Austria have announced a call for the Joint Postdoctoral Fellowship Program of the National Science Foundation of Iran (INSF) and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).

The INSF and the IIASA are jointly calling for qualified researchers to pursue postdoctoral fellowships in the fields of environment, energy, ecology, natural resources, demography, and applied system analysis. This call will support a maximum of three postdoctoral researchers who have been jointly approved by INSF and IIASA.

The priority areas of this call include ‘Environment’, ‘Energy’, ‘Ecology’, ‘Natural Resources’, ‘Demography’ and Applied System Analysis.

The maximum duration of each postdoctoral fellowship under this call is 12 months, which can be extended for another 12 months upon agreement between INSF and IIASA. In general, the postdoctoral fellow should divide his/her time equally between Iran and IIASA.

This support is offered to the Iranian nationals who have received their PhD from the Iranian universities or research institutions, have high research potential, and are at the beginning of their research careers.
