The Intellectual Property Office of the Scientific and Industrial Research Organization of Iran has added a new service to its activities, entitled issuing a certificate for validating innovative products and processes, in order to develop its specialized services to the country's innovation and technology community. This service is designed specifically for the knowledge-based products and processes that have been created for the first time in Iran.

This office, which was previously known as a trusted national authority in evaluating inventions and innovations and issuing certificates for validating inventions, has taken an important step towards facilitating and formalizing the identification of applied innovations in the product and process fields by providing this new service.

The evaluation system for this new service has now been designed and launched within the framework of the organization's (patent) invention and innovation assessment system.

In a relevant development in June, Head of the Iran International Technology and Innovation Hub Campus Vahid Qassemi had also announced the launch of the country’s first specialized technology and innovation neo bank, named ‘Inno Bank’.

This digital-oriented bank will focus on knowledge-based companies, startups, and technology units, and will provide financial and consulting services tailored to the needs of these businesses.

Qassemi described ‘Inno Bank’ as the country’s first specialized technology neo bank, designed to create smart financial infrastructure for the innovation ecosystem.

“Unlike traditional banks that are suitable for large industries or traditional business activities, we have prepared a structure in this neo bank that is fully tailored to the high-risk and dynamic needs of technology companies,” he said.

“Inno Bank's services will include receiving an online accelerated multi-layer card, facilitating the receipt of service-based facilities, consulting for attracting capital, connecting to venture capital funds, and accompanying the commercialization of technological products,” Qassemi noted, adding that the bank has been developed with the support of the country's banking network and within the framework of the International Hub Campus strategies.
