“In the iron-making units of Mobarakeh Steel Industries, there is waste that is separated by vibration in several lines. Suitable raw materials are separated and good products are re-entered into the production line. This project, from A to Z, including design, procurement, construction and commissioning, was carried out by our company,” Saeed Daneshmand, a representative of the company, told ANA on the sidelines of Asr-e Omid event in the Northwestern city of Tabriz.

“So far, we have indigenized nearly 170 to 180 sample parts for steel complexes. The latest product we produced is double-layer metal composite sheets, which were previously imported,” he added.

Daneshmand explained that these sheets are double-layer steel, adding that one side should have a hardness of between 500 and 600 Brinell to provide abrasion resistance, and the other side should have a hardness of around 150 Brinell to absorb vibration.

In a relevant development in 2024, a knowledge-based company in Iran had also succeeded in preventing the release of dust from the steel industry facilities in urban areas by producing dust-collecting furnace bearings for steel companies.

“Furnace dust should not be spread in the air, and two to three of the furnace dust collectors should always be on all the time,” said Abbas Manian, the head of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company.

Noting that the flares of these bearings weigh 4.5 tons, he said, “The size of the produced bearings is 4 inches, and this tool is hydrodynamic and is used to collect dust from the furnace.”

“These products are manufactured for use in Iran’s steel industries. Our biggest customers are Mobarakeh Steel Company, Khuzestan Steel Company, and Isfahan Steel Company,” Manian said.
