Iran to Hold Renewable Energy Conference, Exhibition 2025 in May

This international conference and exhibition will be held with the aim of assessing the challenges of financing renewable energy power plants and presenting solutions to facilitate it.
Over 40 Iranian and foreign speakers, including officials, experts and activists in this field, will attend the event and will discuss subjects like ‘review of government policies and programs in the development of renewable energy, ‘using domestic capacities and developing the knowledge-based renewable energy industry, ‘challenges of developing renewable power plants in industries’, ‘review of new investment models and new financing methods’ and review of the development trend of renewable energy technology and experiences of other countries in the world.
Also, on the sidelines of this two-day conference, domestic and foreign companies active in this field will present their products and services at an exhibition.
Earlier in April, Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology underlined the need for indigenization of renewable energy equipment in cooperation with the knowledge-based companies.
Controlling the quality of imported equipment and adapting the international standards with the conditions in Iran to increase the lifespan and reduce maintenance costs, and using the capacity of knowledge-based companies for domestic production of solar, wind, and energy storage equipment are among the measures adopted by the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy to support the renewable energy sector.
The first phase of five laboratories in the solar (module, inverter, cable) and wind (equipment calibration) fields is due to be launched by the end of the year.
The next phases will be the launch of solar cell and battery laboratories.
In case of success, the share of domestic production of renewable equipment will increase over the next 5 years and this will enable Iran to become a hub for the production of clean energy equipment suitable for the climate of the Middle East.
