Iran Increases Oil Production by 100,000bpd
“We have broken the gas production record with 1.1 billion cubic meters of production after the 14th government took the office,” Bavard said.
“Also, two wells have been drilled in the Dey field and production has started from the gas field. Also, the third well will start operation in the next few days,” he added.
“In the past 4 months, nearly 100,000 barrels of oil have been added to the country’s production, and by the end of the year, about 250,000 barrels will be added again to oil production with a capital of $3 billion. Also, about 15 rigs and drilling equipment will be renovated with an investment of $1 billion,” Bavard underlined.
Earlier this month, the development project for Dey gas field, capable of producing 3 million cubic meters of sweet gas per day, was officially launched.
Peyman Imani, the company's CEO, said the project includes drilling four wells, constructing flow pipelines, wellhead facilities, a manifold gathering system, and a flare system.
Located in Farashband, Fars Province, Dey gas field marks another step toward ensuring a stable supply of natural gas for the country.
The gas produced from this field will be transported via pipelines to the Dalgan Gas Refinery. After processing, it will be fed into the national gas network.
