Minister: Iran Prepared to Establish Science, Technology Park in Venezuela
Zolfi Gol made the remarks in a meeting with Venezuelan Vice-President for Science, Technology, Education, and Health Gabriela Jimenez in Tehran. He added that Iran enjoys valuable experiences in the field of science and technology with 49 science and technology parks, 7,500 technological companies and numerous knowledge-based companies.
Zolfi Gol also stressed his interest in visiting Venezuela and its scientific centers, saying that activating the joint committee can help increase scientific cooperation between the two countries.
Jimenez, for her part, underscored the two countries’ serious willingness to increase scientific and technological cooperation, adding that a roadmap for the development of mutual cooperation should be drawn.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on scientific and technological cooperation.
The 9th Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Venezuela in Tehran ended with the endorsement of cooperation documents.
