Iranian Technological Firm Produces Special Anti-Virus Cases for Cellphones
“These cases are designed and produced for different types of cellphones. Currently, 1000 protective guards have been produced and used for quality tests. We are on the verge of mass production of these cases. We have prepared templates for different phones and due to the existence of a large variety of cellphones in the market, it was necessary to prepare a suitable template for each type of cellphone,” Manouchehr Montazeri, the managing-director of the company, said.
He added that necessary licenses for human use have been taken from Iran Food and Drug Administration (IFDA) and the product has been patented.
Montazeri explained that the cases are covered with a type of nanoparticles that have anti-virus properties, noting, “We produced a part of these nanoparticles ourselves and purchased others from the Iranian part companies. We used two different strategies to combine the nanoparticles with the case; first, the surface of the case was coated, and second, we applied the nanoparticles to the entire case so that if a layer is removed from the case even with a knife, it will still keep its anti-virus properties.”
Iran currently ranks 4th in the world in the production of nano-science. This comes as part of Iran's Nanotechnology Initiative Council’s first development plan, which has sought to advance nano-science in the country.
The second 10-year plan, which started in 2015, seeks to move nano-science from paper to the industry. In the meantime, the Nanotechnology Initiative Council is working on a third plan to trade Iranian nano-products in the global market.
