Iranian Company Produces Non-Dairy Vegan Ice Cream for Diabetics, Hypertensives
“Our commercial activity is the production of health-oriented products, and in this regard, we have two brands, the first brand of the company uses very high technology, high-tech, artificial intelligence and special features; the second brand of the company's food products can be used for vegans, diabetics and those who follow a special diet, and athletes who are prohibited from consuming lactose or high cholesterol, like the diabetics and hypertensives,” Nareen Shahrokhi, the managing director of ‘Solh Gostaran Aseman Farda’ company told ANA.
She underlined that these products are suitable for all dietary categories and some products even cover ketogenic diets.
Referring to the production of completely vegan ice cream by her company for the first time in Iran, Shahrokhi said, “This product is completely special and since the company's products do not have preservatives or additives, they are special.”
Vegan ice cream is a category of frozen desserts made without adding dairy or animal products, like eggs or cow's milk.
Vegan ice cream recipes often rely on coconut milk, coconut oil (you can opt for refined coconut oil, which has less coconut flavor), or blended nuts to achieve a creamy texture.
Dairy-less frozen desserts replace milk and cream with alternatives like coconut, soy, oat, cashew, or almond milk. Many other ingredients remain the same between the dairy and dairy-free versions. And, just like dairy ice cream, non-dairy ice cream can vary widely in terms of sugar, fat, and calorie content.
