Iran Showcases Knowledge-Based Products at Russia’s Technobuild 2024 Expo
In the pavilion of knowledge-based companies of the international exhibition, which was held on October 1-4, a number of 15 Iranian knowledge-based companies presented their products and capabilities in the field of construction.
Elevator energy recovery and management system, thermal insulation blade of aluminum profiles based on polyamide, EVA-based hot melt wood glue, silica-based micro-particles using rice waste to produce building materials, polyol polyester containing cellulose nano fibers to produce hard foam, prefab house produced using rotational molding machine, DVAU – Fleet Digital Voice Announcement Unit Bass Duct, SCM-LV industrial plan for the construction of digital portable electric voltage spectrometer in industrial and residential buildings, design and production plan for fire-sensitive valve, regulating valve and restricting gas flow in apartments, 3VF elevator drive with 11 kW power, building environment control system based on Internet of Things, concrete surface hardening liquid based on lithium potassium silicate, concrete surface hardening liquid based on lithium silicate, system for smartization of buildings’ facilities, production of composite coating (Ridoom) with low absorption capability in frequency bands above 8 GHz, and waterproof structural radome cover or antenna cover were among the products presented by the Iranian knowledge-based companies to the exhibition.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced in September that the country’s knowledge-based companies exported over 3.6 million tons of products, valued at $2.506 billion, in the past Persian calendar year (ended on March 19, 2024).
In this period, the knowledge-based companies accounted for 2.6 and 5 percent of the country’s total exports in weight and value respectively.
Advanced materials and products based on chemical technologies accounted for about 80 percent of the export value of these companies.
China was Iran's first buyer of knowledge-based products in this period.
The report added that some 1.158 million tons of goods, valued at $5.141 billion were also imported by knowledge-based companies into the country from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024.
About 85 percent of the goods imported by the knowledge-based companies came from China, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Turkey, Germany, and India.
The domestic knowledge-based companies exported their products to China, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, and Russia in this period, IRICA said.
