Iran to Hold Persian Gulf Oil, Gas, Petrochemical Media Festival

TEHRAN (ANA)- The secretariat of the first Persian Gulf oil, gas and petrochemical media festival in Iran has called for paper submission.

“The media festival of the Persian Gulf Science and Technology Park in Bushehr province will be held with a focus on the role of science and technology parks and science and knowledge production centers in the development of the oil, gas, petrochemical industries, the role of exhibitions in the production jump, development of technological and knowledge-based units and popularization of the economy, focusing on issues like mutual support of oil, gas and petrochemical industries and knowledge-based companies, the role of these industries in preserving the environment, social responsibilities of industries, and their actions in line with the realization of the slogan of the year and popularization of the economy,” said Rahman Dashti, the head of the Persian Gulf Science and Technology Park.

He added that the role of oil and gas exhibitions in the jump of production, development of knowledge-based companies and popularization of economy are other important topics of this festival.

“The deadline for accepting media works is February 18, 2024,” Dashti said.

Iranian knowledge-based companies in the field of petrochemicals presented their latest achievements at the international Iran PETROCHEM 2024 on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf last February.

The first international conference and exhibition of Iran PETROCHEM kicked off on Kish Island, February13 and ended on 15 February with the slogan of supporting the knowledge-based production in the petrochemical, refining and petro-refining industry.

“In this exhibition, companies, petrochemicals and their subgroups, and petrochemicals and refineries of other holdings, are present,” said Akbar Zamanian, the secretary of the knowledge-based economy development department of the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy.

He explained that in this exhibition a 120-meter booth which belongs to the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy has been provided to 10 knowledge-based companies active in the field of energy and petrochemical industry and refineries to present their latest products.

“On the sidelines of the exhibition, various specialized panels related to the oil, gas, petrochemical and energy industries will also be held,” Zamanian said.
