“Pakan Atiyeh Nano Danesh company, as a producer of thermal, acoustic and cold insulation of nanoporous airgel in Iran, is taking steps in the direction of innovation and providing advanced solutions to insulation,” said Hossein Barqazin, the managing director of the company.

“The main advantage of airgel insulation is their extremely low heat transfer coefficient, which is three to six times lower than traditional insulation, which means that a much smaller thickness of airgel insulation can be used to achieve the same level of insulation,” he added.

“In addition, manufactured airgel insulations have several advantages like resistance to water and fire, easy, fast and low-cost installation - without the need for special tools or equipment,”Barqazin said.

“Compared to traditional insulators, these insulators have a much longer useful life which eliminates the need for their early replacement,” he added.

Earlier, in December, experts at a knowledge-based company in Iran had also used nanotechnology to improve the strength of structures by producing sound and thermal insulation which saves energy up to 90%.

“Elastomeric insulation with thermal, cooling and acoustic properties has been produced as a knowledge-based product by our company for the first time, and its production and formulation processes have been indigenized with the help of elites from the country's top universities,” said Mohammad Hashemi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.

He added that in addition to reducing energy consumption and noise pollution, insulation made by his company also helps the strength of structures, noting, “The insulation prevents corrosion, and therefore the need for repair and maintenance of pipes is reduced and their lifespan increases.”

“This product has resulted in 65% to 90% energy saving which varies due to the effects of various factors like environmental conditions, insulation thickness, etc.,” Hashemi said.

He pointed to the wide applications of these insulators in industrial, residential, and research fields and the high effectiveness of the product, and said, “These insulators are used in all industries whose goal is to save energy or where the corrosion level is high.”

“All production stages of this product, from weighing to furnace and baking, are carried out inside our company,” he stressed.
