One of the main concerns in the field of energy consumption management is to collect consumption data from subscribers online and intelligently for assessment and management.

The knowledge-based product is a smart kit which announces the amount of gas consumed by subscribers, provides the basis for accurate analysis of consumption data, identification of wastage and peak consumption points, and the next steps to optimize energy consumption on a wide scale.

“By designing and producing kits for remote reading of water and gas meters, energy will be saved and consumption is optimized,” said Majid Mohammadi, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.

He added that one of the advantages of the diaphragm gas meter remote reading kit is that the meter does not need to be replaced.

“The kits can be installed on the existing meters and the meter information is sent to the control center and on the SCADA software of the company,” Mohammadi said.

Reports in September also said that smart platforms and remote-reading water meters, which were developed by the Iranian researchers with the aim of collecting the customers’ information in one platform, were being used in four cities.

“One of the products of our company is a remote-reading water meter whose pilot model was first used in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province,” Seyed Rasoul Alborzi, the managing director of a knowledge-based company which produces the water meters, told ANA.

Stressing the importance of water shortage and controlling consumption in Iran, he said that by using the platform, the customers can also see the numbers related to their consumption.

Alborzi said that the remote-reading water meters are now being used in four cities in Markazi, Yazd, East Azerbaijan and Khuzestan provinces, adding, “Several industrial towns and greenhouses are also using the product.”
