Iranian Experts Make Anesthesia Machine with Ventilator
“The product of our knowledge-based company is an anesthesia machine with a ventilator, which is used during surgeries in the operating room,” said Mohammad Reza Kompany, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“After anesthetizing the patient with the relevant drugs, the device can smartly control all the patient's breathing processes during the surgery until its completion,” he added.
Noting that the can be used in medical centers and operating rooms, during surgery and is among medical equipment with highly advanced technology, Kompany said, “With continuous research and development, the device will stand among the most perfect equipment in the world market in the next few years.”
In a relevant development in July, Iranian researchers at another knowledge-based company had also succeeded in manufacturing a new type of ventilators with the ability to work without electricity up to 3 hours which can be used for children and adults.
“The device combines oxygen and air to the amount needed for the body and then transfers it to the patient through special tubes called the respiratory circuit,” Soheil Ma’roufkhani, a commercial member of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
He described the unique features of the device as its usability for infants and adults, ability to transfer information to the central computer and prepare reports, leak compensation, drug nebulizer and the ability to add a capnograph which can provide the user with more extensive information about the patient's exhalation, adding, “It can also work without electricity up to three hours.”
“With the new design we had on the product, we were able to export it to Belgium, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Syria,” Ma’roufkhani said.
