Iranian Knowledge-Based Firms to Set Up Pavilion in Biggest Health Event in East Africa
The biggest exhibition event in the health sector in East Africa which includes the 24th edition of the Medicine and Medical Equipment Exhibition (MEDEXPO AFRICA) and the 3rd edition of the Laboratory Equipment Exhibition (Kenya AFRILAB 2024) is slated to be held in the city of Nairobi on April 17-19.
Medical equipment, laboratory equipment, human drugs and animal drugs are the main products to be presented in the two exhibitions.
Iranian knowledge-based companies have concluded several contracts for exporting medical equipment and medicine to Africa.
Amirhossein Mirabadi, an official with the Iranian Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, said in July that the African market is an attractive opportunity for the Iranian knowledge-based companies.
He added that works are underway for exporting 50 types of medical equipment and 10 medicine to Africa.
Mirabadi also said that a medical and pharmaceutical equipment exhibition was held in Kenya last summer with participation of more than 10 Iranian knowledge-based companies.
