Iran, Kenya Sign 5 Cooperation Documents
The ceremony of signing documents and memoranda of understanding for cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kenya was held and the two countries’ officials signed five cooperation documents.
These cooperation documents were in the fields of veterinary medicine, communication, culture, fisheries and technology which were inked by the foreign affairs, information, communication and digital economy, tourism, wildlife and heritage, mining, water economy and sea affairs and education ministers of Kenya and Iranian foreign ministry and cooperation, labor and social welfare of Iran in the presence of Iranian President Ebrahim Rayeesi and the Kenyan President William Ruto.
Leading a delegation, Rayeesi visited Nairobi, marking the first stop on his three-nation tour of Africa, which also included trips to Uganda and Zimbabwe.
His visit to Africa entails a series of activities, including bilateral meetings, participation in intergovernmental committees, joint press briefings, and meetings with trade and economic officials in all three countries.
The primary objective of Rayeesi’s visit is to enhance Iran’s presence in Africa’s economy.
