Pakistan's Forex Reserves Fall by 54 Million USD
TEHRAN (ANA)- The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that its foreign exchange reserves had decreased by 54 million U.S. dollars.
During the week ending on Jan. 26, the total foreign exchange reserves of the bank fell to around 8.2 billion dollars, the SBP said in a statement.
The decrease occurred "due to debt repayments," the statement said.
Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came at 5 billion dollars, it added.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at about 13.3 billion dollars, according to the SBP.
