Knowledge-Based Firm in Iran Produces IoT-Based System Smart Home System
“Smart city and smart house systems are going to affect our lifestyle and daily life soon,” Mehdi Hafezpour, the managing director of a knowledge-based company active in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) said in an interview with ANA, adding that remote control of household equipment and appliances is one of new ways that has become possible using IoT.
“Our company launched its activity in the field of smart home and smart city in 2017,” he said.
“The service that makes us stand out among our competitors is that our products have scenario capability, meaning that the user can define tasks for the product and achieve results in an automated way with minimum man’s intervention. These services start from the intelligizing of a key in the house and it continues to the smartness of the entire unit. Although, it has to be mentioned that this smartness is not limited to the keys and also includes smart ventilation, smart filtration, etc. In a more advanced way, decisions are made automatically by artificial intelligence,” Hafezpour went on to say.
Highlighting that the equipment used in these projects are domestically produced, he added, "These products are higher in quality than foreign equivalents and 100% of the products, including components, applications and servers, are designed and produced by domestic experts and with 100% after-sales services to the customer.”
"However, if there is a short or disruption while using one of the foreign-made equipment or components in the system or a part faces a problem, the entire product must be replaced; because the part cannot be accessed to. Meanwhile, the risk of blocking and hacking is greatly reduced when using domestically-produced equipment.”
“Outside Iran, a separate monthly fee must be paid to use smart home products, but in Iran, you can get smart services without paying additional fees by just having a key. Also, one of the other features of this smart equipment is that old boxes and wiring are used, which allow us to make the house smart without changing the infrastructure, and it will result in cost reduction as well,” the managing director of the knowledge-based firm concluded the interview with ANA.
