Knowledge-Based Firm in Iran Produces Smart Ship Radars
“These smart radars are mostly used in the telecommunications industry and ports,” Arien Ehsan, a technical expert and representative of the Iranian knowledge-based company that manufactures radar and telecommunication equipment said in an interview with ANA.
Ehsan furthur pointed to the operation and the technology used in the smart radars of the shipping industry and added, “In simple words, these radars, equipped with Base Transceiver Station (BTS) systems that are placed in marine stations, detect and identify the marine transportation and inform the users and the team stationed on the ship.”
The knowledge-based company’s representative touched upon the domestically production of the equipment and parts used in the product and underscored, “All the main pieces used in this device, including the monitoring parts and the tracking system or GPS of the device, have been domestically produced by the mechatronics specialists of the company.”
Ehsan went on to say that smart radars of the shipping industry used to be imported from European countries to Iran before locally producing them by the knowledge-based company.
