Iranian Company Develops Water Quality System with 7 Sensors
Amirhossein Jalaian, one of the researchers of the project, said in an interview with Iranian media that their device is Conductivity, Temperature, Depth (CTD) sensors.
“This system has seven sensors which include sensors for PH, profile, conductivity, temperature, oxygen and salinity and organic compounds,” he added.
He said that the system is to monitor the quality of water in dams or oceans and stated, “This device is released on the water surface at a depth of 70 to 80 meters and presents these parameters to the user in an Excel file.”
Stating that the user can access the data from the device through the Internet, Jalaian added, “This device enables the operator to measure the water quality.”
Adding that the prototype of the system has been produced, the researcher also said, “This device has been tested on the ground. This was one of the tests in the Karun 4 Dam."
Acknowledging that the imported variant of the device was already available in the country, he highlighted, “The previous device had 4 sensors but the 7-sensor model is new to the market in the country.”
According to Jalaian, the company has succeeded in producing a varity of the device with 7 sensors.
