Iranian Scientists Produce Fully Automatic Spectrophotometer with Monitor
“Spectrophotometry is a method used to determine the amount of light absorption of a sample and, as a result, to determine some of its structural and molecular specifications, and their overall quality, and they are used in various fields, including food and drug sectors, water and sewage, oil industries, etc.,” said Mohammad Javad Kargar, the managing director of the knowledge-based company.
“The ONYX portable spectrophotometer provides a fast scanning system for measuring water or sewage samples and different environments. Also, this special portable spectrophotometer can be used for all analytical tests that require a wavelength between 380 nm and 800 nm, and the workspace of the ONYX portable spectrophotometer which is used to measure the absorption number of unknown samples, is portable and has a rechargeable battery,” he added.
Kargar noted that ONYX portable spectrophotometers are highly suitable for quality control tasks due to their ease of use and the attached display that can provide immediate feedback, adding that they also enjoy all features of desktop spectrophotometers with the technology to detect key parameters, including COD, BOD, Nitrite, and Nitrate.”
“Our company has recently presented its own online COD monitoring analyzer on the market which is designed for online measurement of COD at different levels of water and wastewater samples," he said.
Kargar had earlier, in September, said that the high-quality spectrometers produced by an Iranian nanotechnology company had found customers in different world states.
