“The main application of this product is generally in the packaging industry. The main task of the Delta robotic arm is to move objects or pick and place operations; for instance, this device can pick up a bottle of juice on the production line and place it in a box. Another important activity is sorting operations. With the help of machine vision and machine learning, this device is able to grade products or identify and remove defective products on the production line. A camera is also connected to the robot, which automatically identifies and processes the parts,” said Hamed Pamorqi, the managing director of Hamoun San’at Pishro Pasargad company.

He added that the robot also enjoys the capability to move in three dimensions and in its workspace, in addition to packaging and separation, it can also perform a unique operation by placing a tool in its final channel and use it as a machine tool.

“The main advantage of this robotic arm is its high speed, which reaches up to three meters per second and is similar to foreign models. Another advantage of these robots is the way they are placed in the production line, which takes up little space,” Pamorqi said.

“The Delta robotic arm system can perform a number of activities in laboratory environments and spaces where toxic gases exist. In general, this product has a great impact on increasing the quality, speed and efficiency of the production line,” he added.

In a relevant development last July, specialists of an Iranian knowledge-based company had also succeeded in designing and building a robotic arm with seven degrees of freedom which can carry loads of up to 250 kg.

“The product of our company is an industrial robot with 7 degrees of freedom that can carry 250 kg of load,” said Alireza Hashempour, a member of the board of directors of the knowledge-based company.

Noting that the arm length of the robot is 2.5 meters and the movement accuracy in the working space is 0.5 of a millimeter, he said, “This robot is used in various industries like auto-making, household appliances, construction industries, foam manufacturing industries, chemical factories and food industries and it is applied to carry out all kinds of transfers, welding, cutting, injecting materials and gluing.”

Hashempour described the industrial robot as a strong and tireless arm for industrial applications, and said, “If this robot is equipped with peripheral equipment, it will be able to perform a variety of industrial tasks.”
