Iranian Knowledge-Based Firm Makes Polyethylene Gas Pipes with Yellow Color
“Today, we have over 13 production lines and more than 25,000 tons of production capacity per year,” said Abolqassem Madanlou, the managing director of Caspian Louleh Tabarestan company.
Noting that the repair department of Iran’s National Gas Company always faces problems by excavation of the ground and inability to trace the pipes buried in the soil, he said, “Therefore, we obtained this know-how in the research and development (R&D) unit of our company.”
“As a result, the pipes that are used now will be replaced by metal ones. We also have a plan to distinguish gas pipes from other pipes buried under the ground, and that is a special yellow color. Now, fortunately, we have achieved the know-how for production of this yellow color. Gas pipes are also yellow in the European states,” Madanlou said.
In a relevant development in August, an Iranian nanotechnology firm had also managed to produce special black and shiny masterbatch by using polyethylene.
Omid Rastegar, the managing director of Novin Andish Baspar Shiraz Company, elaborated on production and application of black and shiny polyethylene nano masterbatch by his company, saying that his firm was founded five years ago in Fasa city in Fars province in Southern Iran.
“Our company produces all types of masterbatch and polymer compounds. Its first production line was dedicated to the production of black masterbatch,” he said, adding that the second production line of the company was inaugurated recently at Shiraz Industrial Town.
Masterbatch is a thick mixture of pigment, additive, filler, etc. in a polymer matrix which includes polymer matrix, active ingredient and compatibilizing agents.
