Knowledge-Based Firm in Iran Produces Modern Industrial Equipment
Mohammad Reza Fazeli, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, referred to the production of under-pressure reactors with stirrer, and said, “The most important application of this type of reactor is to create a suitable platform for chemical reactions based on a predetermined plan to create the desired product.”
He elaborated on designing and production of magnetic couplings, and said, “Coupling equipment is used to transfer torque from a shaft or electric motor and has wide applications in transferring liquids.”
Noting that other equipment and devices are also produced in the knowledge-based company, Fazeli said, “The most important equipment is industrial autoclaves, bioreactors and planetary mixers, which are mainly used in different laboratory, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.”
He described the most important areas of application of the produced equipment as oil, petrochemical, chemical, paint, resin, adhesive, cement, steel, medical, glass, composite, rubber, polymer and laboratory industries.
Iran, in July, inaugurated the second phase of a factory for making special reactors to produce chemical materials (glass-lined) in the presence of Mohammad Sadeq Khayyatian, the head Iran’s Innovation and Prosperity Fund.
Mostafa Jannati, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, elaborated on applications of the glass-lined reactors to perform sensitive and corrosive chemical reactions, and said, “These reactors are used in production of chemicals, including raw materials for medicine, certain petrochemicals, raw materials for detergents, and pesticides.”
“There are 10 countries in the world which produce the equipment, and Iran is the 11th country which is able to manufacture glass-lined reactors. Also, in the field of technical know-how, only four countries have the technical know-how of making such reactors, and Iran is the fifth country that enjoys such a technical know-how,” he said.
“In addition to fully supplying the domestic needs for these equipment, we have managed to export these reactors to several countries, including India, Russia, Turkey, and Turkmenistan,” Jannati stated.
