Iranian Nanotechnology Firm Produces Antifungal, Antibacterial Wet Wipes
"With ten years of experience in production of wet wipes, we were looking for a nano product which has antibacterial, antifungal and even antiviral properties and, therefore, we produced copper nanoparticles,” said Seyed Mehdi Hesari, the managing director of Narmin Behdasht Radkan company.
“By using the same copper nanoparticles, we produced wet wipes whose antibacterial and antifungal properties were confirmed in different tests,” he added.
Hesari said that his company has an experience of exporting products to Iraq, Afghanistan and Central Asian states, and expects the new antibacterial wet wipes to attract customers outside Iran too.
In a relevant development in May, an Iranian knowledge-based company active in the field of nanotechnology had also produced different types of antibacterial wipes, which are suitable for use in kitchens, bathrooms, and cars, to name a few.
This company has produced various non-woven fabrics including napkins for restrooms, cars, and kitchens (unusable for surfaces in direct contact with food), as well as napkins containing nanoparticles that have received a nanoscale certificate so far.
The company has been able to create jobs for 40 people directly and for more than 200 people indirectly by producing more than 30 data-x-items of goods in three manufacturing units.
All types of magic wipes produced by the company can be washed 3 to 4 times.
