“30,000 out of 251,000 nomadic households have solar panels,” Siavash Ahmadi Mirqa’ed, the head of Nomadic Affairs Organization of Iran, told ANA.

“The President recently issued a decree that the Ministry of Energy should provide 220,000 solar panels to the nomads in two years so that they can benefit from electricity,” he added.

Ahmadi Mirqa’ed also pointed out that increasing the productivity of livestock is a field in which technical know-how is effective, adding, “We started with scientific research centers so that these centers can boost the productivity of livestock by presenting and transferring scientific materials to the nomads.”

Earlier this year, Head of Iran's National Invention and Innovation Team had also announced that his department was resolved to install solar panels on the roof of buses in Isfahan city to generate clean energy within the framework of a pilot plan.

"Installing solar panels on the roof of buses is aimed at charging mobile phones or running cooling and heating systems of buses. The generated energy can also be used in running digital currency and meantime can reduce use of fossil fuels," Amir Abbas Mohammadi Koushki said.

"The whole or a main part of a solar bus or a solar charging bus can be supplied by the solar panels installed on its roof. This new model of civil transportation which is called "solar bus services" is planned to use solar energy not only for generating power for buses' electrical equipment, but also for running the vehicle itself," Koushki went on to say.

He added that according to international standards, in order to achieve clean transportation, non-polluting sources must be found to generate electricity to overcome air pollution that all countries face.
