Iran Exports Nano Products to 58 Countries

TEHRAN (ANA)- Iran’s exports of commodities produced by nanotechnology has hit a new record high, witnessing a 53% growth.

Statistics released by the Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC) has shown great achievements in the last two years. 

The INIC figures showed that the exports of data-x-items produced using nanotechnology increased by 53% in 2022 compared to the year before.

“As many as 58 countries were the destinations for the exports of nano products in the year 1400 in the Iranian calendar (March 21, 2021 to March 20, 2022). That year, the highest amount of Iran's nanotechnology exports was to Iraq worth $21.5 million, followed by Turkey ($12.4 million) and Lebanon ($9.3 million),” the report added.

The INIC report also said that in 2022, a total of 280 companies were operating in the production of nano products and equipment. It also showed that the top 55 companies accounted for more than 90% of the total volume of Iran's nanotechnology market in 1400, while and more than a quarter of the nanotechnology companies had a sales volume of less than one billion tomans.

The construction industry accounted for nearly half of Iran's nanotechnology products market share in 2022, with the automobile and transportation industry in the next spots, the report added.

The sale of nano technology equipment increased by 59% in the year 2022 while the growth of nanotechnology services that year was about 108%, the report concluded.
