Iranian Expert Stresses Advantages of Using Nanotechnology to Produce PVD Materials
Engineer Farhad Qaffari stressed the effectiveness of using nanotechnology in improving the good features of products.
“By using methods like PVD, we make new products with nano properties, which, compared to similar ordinary products, enjoy features like environmental compatibility free-from-pollution properties, increased resistance to corrosion, resistance to wear, creation of different colors, and cost reduction due to quality and longevity,” he added.
Several Iranian nanotechnology companies have succeeded in development of physical vapor deposition (PVD) system, enabling the application of golden ceramic compound with a variety of thicknesses on different substrates.
‘Pars PVD’, ‘Tolerance Atris’, ‘Iran Bronze Steel’, ‘Kimiyae Saadat Sanat Modern’, ‘Ara Ceram’, ‘Noor Mehr Hoda’ and ‘Negar Gostar Javid’ companies have made the nano-based product.
This system can deposit a thin film with a nanometric thickness on different surfaces.
Such a coating can improve the wear and corrosion resistance of underlying substrate, reduce the erosion, improve the apparent beauty of the underlying surface and increase the surface hardness.
The product can be used in making equipment applied in residential and office buildings like sanitary faucets, handles and cabinet fittings, home appliances like oven and making bags, shoes, and accessories.
