Inflatable Retrievable Packer Made in Iran for Oil, Gas, Petrochemical Industries
‘Kia Sanat Sharif’ has manufactured the product that is an inflatable retrievable packer, consisting of nanoparticle-reinforced elastomers. It can operate with no need for removing a production string and provide a platform to send tools into a well.
The incorporation of nanoparticles into the elastomer has led to higher corrosion resistance, improved elongation while maintaining strength and enhanced stability at elevated temperatures and pressures.
The product can be utilized in petrochemical industry and repairing, maintenance and stimulation of oil and gas wells.
Packer is an open source tool for creating identical machine images for multiple platforms from a single source configuration. Packer is lightweight, runs on every major operating system, and is highly performant, creating machine images for multiple platforms in parallel.
Earlier this year, researchers of a knowledge-based company in Iran had also managed to meet the major needs of the oil and petrochemical industries by producing centrifugal magnetic pumps and polymer cutters.
Ahmad Mokhtari, the managing director of the knowledge-based company, described magnetic pumps as the first knowledge-based product of his company, saying, “The oil, gas, petrochemical, copper and other industries which have the process of transferring dangerous toxic substances can benefit from these magnetic pumps.”
“The second knowledge-based product of our company is polymer cutters which are usually used in the petrochemical industry to produce granules of polymer materials,” he added.
Mokhtari noted that the two knowledge-based products do not have any similar Iran-made counterpart and used to be imported from foreign states, adding that these products can compete with foreign samples both in terms of price and quality.
