“Our company started its activities by analyzing, designing and implementing MIS software. To do so, we used the state-of-the-art software technologies with the help of experts and consultants and providing favorable conditions to increase the speed and accuracy of making products to present a comprehensive and complete product to the Iranian software market,” said Alireza Safayee, the managing director of a knowledge-based company.

“This software product consists of 16 systems, including a comprehensive production control system for the petrochemical industry, a comprehensive general engineering system for the petrochemical industry, a comprehensive system for engineering standards, a comprehensive system for the proposal system, a comprehensive system for communication and telecommunications, a comprehensive system for meeting management, and a comprehensive system for the information technology unit, a comprehensive traffic control system, a comprehensive contract and tender management system, and a comprehensive newspaper archive system and optical identification software,” he added.

“The software enjoys a large market because the petrochemical industry is a large industry and it leads to the integration and mechanization of the petrochemical industry,” Safayee said, adding that it can be used in all manufacturing industries.

In a relevant development earlier this year, another Iranian knowledge-based company managed to develop a remote terminal unit (RTU) for monitoring oil and gas facilities.

A remote terminal unit is a multipurpose device used for remote monitoring and control of various devices and systems for automation.

The oil and gas industry is of strategic importance for the country, Ahmad Rashid, a co-founder of the company, underscored.

“In recent years, many knowledge-based companies have become active in this field,” he said, adding that the company tried to focus on the automation of systems and the production of electronic parts by creating a research and development unit.

“This system is usually used to measure, control and manage remote stations,” Rashid went on to say.
