‘Atlasceram Kavir’ company has made the product which is a nanoparticle-reinforced ceramic combustion chamber produced through a casting method. It enjoys desirable corrosion properties and tolerates elevated pressure and temperature.

Using nanoparticles in the ceramic matrix has resulted in increased strength, improved thermal properties and dimensional accuracy.

The new product can be used in gas turbines, ferrous and non-ferrous metals industries, power plants, helicopter engine and aircraft engine.

In a relevant development last year, Evarplast Company, operating in Semnan Industrial Park, had also managed to produce refractory ceramics that are highly used in different industries.

Nahid Chegini, a member of the board of directors of the company, told ANA that refractory ceramics are justifiable economically and in terms of safety in cases that are highly prone to firing and are exposed to high temperature.

"The company manufactures various types of geomembrane sheets, thermoplastics and all types of flooring, PVC pipes, fittings, PE, HDPE, LDPE, PA, ABS, insulation, and lining of subway tunnel walls, tanks, and plating tanks, anti-acid, water storage and transfer, industrial dryers, semi-industrial, as well as cottage ovens," she added.

Refractory ceramics are used in the automotive, rail, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries as well as in the wood and furniture, printing and packaging, textile, power, electronics, and telecommunication industries.
