Iran to Hold First Exhibition on Exports Capabilities in Belarus
According to a report by the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, the exhibition will be organized by the [Iranian] Bloor Company.
The Exhibition will be held in Bel Expo Center in Minsk in August in the middle of summer.
“Given the opportunities and hopes that have emerged in managing and development of foreign trade with and exports to the countries of the region, [Iranian] Bloor Company is planning the first national exhibition of export products of Iran (general and specialized products) in Belarus,” the report said.
The exhibition will focus on the influential role and export capabilities of Iran's knowledge-based companies in the future of economic relations between Iran and Eurasia.
Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe that borders Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. The country is one of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) which is comprised of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan that have a large market of 185 million people worth about $500 billion. Russia is the largest trading partner for Belarus and the small neighbor is the corridor for imports to Russia.
The Iranian and Belarusian economic and political officials are resolved to expand bilateral relations between the two nations and an increasing number of high-ranking economic Belarusian officials from the public and private sectors visiting Iran, including the visit of the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Tehran and his meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the exchange of business delegations between the two countries will provide an incetive to remove barriers.
According to the vice presidency’s report, the Iranian planned exhibition will tryp to provide reasons for the expansion of commercial, industrial exchanges and the sustainable export of goods and services in various product groups between Iran and Belarus.
