At its simplest, mulch is any material that covers the soil’s surface.

In nature, mulch is simply fallen leaves and plant debris. In the garden, mulch can also include compost, wood chips, rotted manure, cardboard, or even seaweed.

Mulch is used to retain moisture in the soil, suppress or block weeds, keep the soil and plant roots cool, and prevent frost heaving in winter.

The team of inventors of the university has recently won four gold medals at Robotex 2023 competitions in Turkey.

Extraction of mulch from urban wastewater and polluted water by combined reverse osmosis and ultrasonic method is the title of the invention.

The topic was created in connection with issues and problems in the field of the environment of the Gorgan Bay region and the problems caused by the retreat of seawater in Behshahr City.

Environmental protection and helping to preserve the life of Caspian fishes and helping to clean up the abandoned leachates are pursued in this project.

Mulch is also used for desertification and the product is in the initial test sample stage.
