Iranian Company Uses Nanotechnology to Improve Thermal Transfer in Industrial Facilities

TEHRAN (ANA)- An Iranian technology company has manufactured thermal converters using nanotechnology that is able to improve the transfer of heat by 15-25 percent.
News ID : 1974

The additive is used to improve heat transfer properties in gas industry converters, which are currently used in 28 companies.

It can also create anti-corrosion properties in facilities.

It has been designed for closed systems such as chillers and boilers and can be used for both heating and cooling systems.

By using nanotechnology, the preparation of high thermal conductivity fluids called nanofluids is possible and they may be used in heat exchange devices.

The use of this additive can improve heat transfer between 15 percent and 25 percent.

This difference also depends on the type of fluid, that is, by changing the fluid (whether the fluid is water or ethylene glycol) and the degree of fluid impurity, this percentage of heat transfer improvement can be different.

The substance also creates anti-corrosion properties in facilities and increases the life of equipment and infrastructure.

High stability is among the other advantages of the product.

This technology is expected to be used in industries that need fast heat exchange, such as power plants and companies with cooling systems.

One kilogram of the substance can be added to one thousand liters of fluid with a weight ratio of one-tenth percent. Therefore, its consumption in the industry is very low.
