Iranian Firm Develops Lab for Electromagnetic Assessment of Big Industrial Equipment

TEHRAN (ANA)- A knowledge-based company in Iran succeeded in designing and building a laboratory for electromagnetic evaluation of large industrial equipment and all types of light to super heavy vehicles.

The project of ‘EMC Chamber’ as a laboratory for the electromagnetic assessment of large industrial equipment with dimensions of 16 meters and 26 meters and a height of 9 meters with a control room, a shielded amplifier, accessories and measuring equipment was designed and built at a cost of 4.5 million euros.

Vida Sina, the managing director of the Research Center for the Informatics-Related Industries, stated that the center is a knowledge-based company to improve the level of national technology and infrastructure and production processes.

“Until now, it was not possible to test equipment like passenger cars, heavy vehicles, heavy medical equipment and other technologies that have a large weight or volume, so they were sent abroad for evaluations and receiving standards but we made this laboratory with the help of the Iranian specialists,” she said.

Iranian auto-making industry has flourished in the past few decades.

Iran Khodro branded as IKCO, is an Iranian automaker headquartered in Tehran. IKCO was founded in 1962 as Iran National. The public company manufactures vehicles, including Samand, Peugeot and Renault cars, and trucks, minibuses and buses.
