Iran-Made Smart Software Detects Human Face in Crowd
“The integrated Iran-made smart software also enjoys the capability to recognize a person in the crowd, match a face with a face defined in the software with 100% accuracy with a possibility to define an unlimited number and recognize and identify multiple faces simultaneously,” Mehdi Nabavifard, one of the officials of the company, told ANA on the sideline of Islamic Azad University’s Asreh Omid Event which was held in the Pars Energy Special Economic Zone on February 27 to March 2.
50 knowledge-based companies, laboratories, research teams, and startups from 14 provinces of the country and 19 academic units were present in 63 booths in the exhibition of Asreh Omid Event.
In a relevant development last year, an Iranian knowledge-based company developed a smart system to recognize the faces of unknown people and record their movements.
‘Rokhsar’ is a non-interactive facial recognition system that makes possible the detection of unknown people and recording their movements without the need for cooperation of people passing before the eyes of CCTV cameras.
The system, which is produced by ‘Aron Paydar Novin Ertebat’ company, is installed on the server and has access to a number of CCTV cameras in the environment. When people move in the CCTVs’ range of view, their face image is recorded, then their identity is determined by facial recognition and based on earlier records and information existing in the database.
Rokhsar system enjoys the possibility for photo and video saving to search and match in the database as well as identification of unknown people and recording their movements.
Security control which provides the possibility of warning of the passage or presence of people in sensitive places, stadiums, airports, terminals, and borders is among other applications of the system.
Another advantage of the system is the possibility to record the presence and absence of employees by controlling their traffic in case of their floating presence during working hours by using the CCTV cameras.
