Iranian Technological Firm Develops Physical Deposition System to Produce Optical Parts
“The high-precision physical layering system in the vapor phase has been designed by means of an electron beam with application in thin film coating in special parts of optics and laser,” said Mohammad Mirzayee, a representative of the company.
He elaborated on the performance of the device, saying, "When the controlled current passes through the cathode, the electrons are excited and accelerated by applying a high pressure voltage during operation, and by focusing on the accelerated electrons with the controlled magnetic field on the desired material in the vacuum space they are placed under the layer in the form of zinc vapor.”
Mirzayee said that all companies, centers, universities and production and research organizations active in the field of manufacturing optical parts, including Isfahan National Center for Laser and Optical Industries (SAPA), can use this technology.
Optical Components are used to alter the state of light through a variety of means including focusing, filtering, reflecting, or polarizing.
They are integrated into a limitless number of applications, such as microscopy, imaging, or interferometry, for industries ranging from the life sciences to testing and measurement.
Optical Components are often designed using specific substrates or anti-reflection coatings to optimize performance in designated ultraviolet, visible, or infrared wavelengths or wavelength ranges.
